OPCW Fact-Finding Mission in Syria
“Experts conducted digital simulations in order to identify the mechanical forces and circumstances that could have caused the deformation visible on the cylinder and the crater. The study showed that, under specific conditions, the deformation obtained through digital simulation on the cylinder—considering its physical properties and the nature of the ground at the site of impact—is consistent with the deformation observed on the actual cylinder and the shape of the crater.”
