Gazans survive among unexploded bombs

In April 2025, the Reuters news agency published a major investigation documenting the impact of Israel’s use of munitions in Gaza on the Palestinian population, which highlighted the lasting danger from unexploded ordnance found amongst the rubble.

Reuters consulted with the OSMP during the research process and used the OSMP as a source to document examples of unexploded ordnance found in Gaza. In the eventual visual product, various munition entries that were added to the portal were illustrated.
