SkyStriker
An Israeli-designed one-way attack (OWA) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), often referred to as a ‘suicide drone’. Produced by Elbit Systems, the SkyStriker has a reported maximum effective range of 100 km. The munition uses a dual charge-coupled device (CCD) and infrared seeker with synchronised dual tracker for guidance and includes an abort feature allowing the munition to return home if an attack is cancelled by the operator. The UAV can locate and strike operator-designated targets with a 5 kg or 10 kg warhead. It has seen use by Israeli forces during the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

Analyst Note:
This image shows the remnants of a SkyStriker one-way attack UAV, manufactured by Elbit Systems of Israel. The SkyStriker can be fitted with various warhead options, including dual-purpose warheads weighing 5 or 10 kilograms. While it appears that a reconstruction was attempted with the remnants, the placement of the various components does not accurately represent an intact SkyStriker. (ARES)
